I used to eat at the Pizza Place, where a pizza is about 8 $; this restaurant is on Av. de la Independencia and I didn't get food poisoning by eating there:) As a change you can also drop in at the Club Nautico, for some nice seafood which is not more than 10 $. You'll find it in the Old Port.
